Planning ahead...

Work seems to be getting a little easier, thank goodness! After the initial rush at 10am it settles down, but we are still getting lots of calls about swimming. There is word that Boris won't ease all of the Covid restrictions on the 21 June as scheduled, because of the rise in infections due to the Delta (or Indian) variant, so any hopes of not having to book people in for swimming is rapidly disappearing!

With three of us answering calls, it does get a bit noisy, but it was great to finish at 4pm and head home, with two days off ahead of me!

When I arrived home Keith and Mike were still out. Mike had finished work late, and they were both partaking of a drink at the Clubhouse. This is starting to become a bit of a habit! I pootled about and tidied up, and when Sophie returned home we looked at hotels in Napa. Sophie had spotted one called The Inn on First that looked lovely, so we booked it on Booking.com! We don't have to pay until October 2022 and it was fun going onto Google Street View and "walking" the short distance to downtown Napa. For a few brief moments, it was like being transported to California!

Dinner tonight was a prawn and tomato pasta bake that we had never made before. It was simple and tasty! After we'd eaten, Sophie showed me a raft of emails she'd received from the hotel in Napa. They wanted to ask if we had any dietary requirements and said that breakfast would be served in our room... I do hope not! We are just hoping that they've sent us information that's relevant now, and won't be in the future! I can't imagine that Covid will still be as big a problem next October! I'm praying not!
