England win!!

Thankfully, work was quieter today with not as many phone calls, so I did make a late start on the holiday activities. I only did three, but it's a start!

Driving home at 4pm, the roads were busy as England were playing Germany this evening at Wembly, and I think people were trying to get home before kick-off at 5pm! We had opted for an easy evening meal of soup, crusty bread and fruit trifle but it was all over by7pm, and England beat our old rivals 2-0! What a fantastic result and the first time in a major competition that we had beat them since 1966!

Sophie and I played Scrabble while the game was on so I will adopt this habit for the future! It was far more enjoyable than watching the footie!
