Predictably, I was awake this morning at 6am so I caught up with some recorded programmes and enjoyed a coffee or two to wake up properly!
It's been a grey day today with no sunshine or blue sky at all and after a morning spent doing very little, Sophie and I went to Market Harborough at lunchtime. Our first stop was the post office where we sent some parcels and then we made a beeline for Pizza Express where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. We started with dough balls and calamari and then shared a very spicy chicken pizza. When we first arrived the restaurant was empty but it quickly filled up with hungry diners!
After we'd eaten we went to Boots, Waterstones, Monsoon and a lovely cookshop where we bought Keith a huge (1.3 pint) mug for his morning cuppa! I'd worn the wrong boots today so my feet were hurting and we called it a day, heading home via the scenic route.
Back home it was time to relax and Sophie went to get ready for her night out with Daisy and Laura. Keith and I drove her into town and dropped her off at Revs where she was meeting her friends for cocktails before going to Sophia's for a meal.
Keith and I headed home for a cold dinner of prawn cocktail with crusty bread followed by Christmas pudding and cream. We watched a new Nordic Noir called Wisting which was very good indeed, and went back to pick Sophie up at 10.30pm. She was a little merry (as usual!) and her and Daisy talked non-stop all the way home!
Keith has another bloomin' cold so when we arrived back I made him a hot toddy and we sat and watched the end of the first episode of Wisting. It was great, if a little gruesome!
