Work was very busy indeed again today, even though there were three of us manning the phones. The calls were almost non-stop and predictably most were about swimming sessions. Most people just can't be bothered with booking a session themselves so call us to do it for them!
I stayed for an extra hour to complete the box office returns and realised that we hadn't changed our forms to take into account the reduced rate of VAT... it meant I had to do them all over again! I was very glad to get out at 2pm and go home!
The weather had turned from grey and overcast to sunny and bright and it was lovely to drive home and see the sun shining. Mike had called in sick at work today so we didn't have to go and pick him up from work. Apparently things were a bit fraught in the house while I was at work and I hope he goes back in tomorrow!
Keith had used Sophie's car this morning to do the shopping and she cooked a really delicious paella this evening. While she was cooking Keith and I played cards in the conservatory and we opened a bottle of wine that Sophie had bought in Valencia last year. It was a bit dry but it did go well with our Spanish meal!
