Appreciating clouds

Day 80

Normal activity was resumed this morning when Keith went shopping! I'm hoping that we will get away with not going for a few days now!

I took a phone call at 10am about my Mum and Dad's care home fees from a lovely lady who specialises in later life investments. It all sounded very daunting, though, and I'll be honest -  at the moment, I really don't want to be doing all this. I thought I had many years before we needed to even think about a situation like this, if at all. She finished the call by saying she would email me forms to complete so that's another thing to look forward to!

The weather this morning has been very disappointing again, with heavy skies and rain. Keith and I both wondered how Mike was getting on at the golf course! Later in the morning I decided to join The Cloud Appreciation Society, something I've been meaning to do for a while. As regular readers of this blog will know, I love clouds (except the heavy, formless, boring variety which we have today) and one of my favourite things to do is to gaze up at the sky and really appreciate all their glory. It seems I am not alone, as there as many others just like me!

Before going to get Mike I called to Mum's house to sort out their outside drain which was looking a bit yukky. By now the sun had come out but on the way home I could see huge storm clouds in the distance and we had torrential rain. It's been more like April than June!
