Fresh air fiends!

After a slow start this morning we all pitched in to do some housework. Sophie hoovered, Keith ironed and I changed our bed and cleaned the bathrooms. Outside it was bright and breezy again so I opened all the windows to let some fresh air in. It's been a day of sunshine and showers and it was lovely to see blue skies. It's due to get colder next week, with snow forecast for some areas!

At 2pm I went to get Mum and we drove to the hospital. At the same time Sophie went to see Daisy and Laura so it was just Mum and I visiting Dad. Yesterday I'd been speaking to two women who were both retired nurses and they were saying that he needed to drink plenty as this could have been causing his confusion. At the hospital both of us encouraged him to keep drinking and he was a lot better, although he is still very pale and thin.

We stayed for two hours and then I dropped Mum off at home. Mike had called about getting a lift home from Abbie's but in the end a friend gave him a lift back so I was spared having to go back out again!

There was just two of us for dinner tonight as Sophie was still out at her friend's house and Mike had been to a birthday party earlier in the day and had "stuffed his face". After eating we settled down to watch the fourth James Bond film, Thunderball and just as is started Sophie arrived home and Mike chose to come down and cook himself a pizza, so it was all very chaotic!
