Flood!

Well, the expected rain arrived and when I waved Sophie off to the gym this morning, the weather was truly horrible. Keith took me to work as he was going to do the weekly shop ands the roads were very bad with water running off the fields.

Today has been a bad day on the roads altogether as there was a bad accident on the A43 which shut it for about six hours and part of the A45 which runs towards the M1 was also shut because of flooding.

When Keith picked me up we went home via Brixworth as he said the traffic in Holcot was horrendous, mainly because of the closure of the A43 but also because the area around the duckpond was also flooded and cars were having difficulty getting through.

Back home it was definitely time to turn the heating on and get cosy. Mike also has a cold now which no doubt he will spread amongst all of us!
