Autumn weather!

The weather today has been horrible and it hasn't stopped raining, with flooding on roads near to where we live.

I drove myself to work today and it was great to finish at 2pm and go straight home. This is going to take some getting used to! At home Keith looked a bit fed up as he'd been stuck in the house since this morning so I suggested we drive over to Market Harborough to visit the bathroom showroom there. Amazingly, work is going to start next Thursday! The time has flown by but I can't wait for the old fittings to be ripped out!

We sloshed our way over and the weather was atrocious - misty. grey skies as well as wind and rain. How horrible! We eventually found the showroom (it's tucked away on a small industrial estate and we can never find it!) and saw the man we'd been dealing with since the start. He took a 25% deposit off us and said the fittings would all be delivered next Thursday.

Back home we ordered a skip to be placed on our driveway and that was it! We are all ready! We need to go back over next Wednesday and pay the balance and I'm really looking forward to having a new bathroom to enjoy!

I warned Sophie about the flooding near Holcot and asked her to take it easy on her way home from work. Dinner tonight was baked potatoes and they were perfect for the weather we're having!
