Misty morning

Sophie and I had a very early start as she had to be at her manager's house at 6am this morning. I took her and it was a misty journey along the A14 to Thrapston. Sophie had to ring the doorbell three times before she went in, which was unusual as normally her manager is all ready and waiting. Perhaps she was feeling a bit sleepy too!

I drove back, had a coffee and waved Keith and Mike off to work. It was a bit like old times this morning when I set off at 7.30am!

Work was fine and as there were three of us in I was able to do a lot of admin work. At 2pm I went over to the post office in the Weston Favell Centre to send off the last of our eBay items. We have done really well with our little hobby and have made enough for excursions to:

Monterey Bay Aquarium
Alcatraz
The Winchester Mystery House
Muir Woods
An escorted wine trip in Napa

Plus,

Our travel insurance
Night at a hotel at Heathrow
Our ESTAs

We still have enough left over to pay for one of the hotels! At times it has been frustrating, but it's all been worthwhile!

I went to wait for Mike and was an hour early, so I sat and read in the car, which was lovely and relaxing!

We went another route home and as he'd finished a bit early, we were back by 3.45pm. Yippee!

We picked Sophie up from Thrapston and she'd had a long tiring day. Her foot hurt which was a bit worrying and she thinks she hurt in when she was running on the treadmill. Back home she rubbed some Ibuprofen gel into it and put it up to rest.

Mum and Dad popped around to see us and we had a drink to say goodbye. They are going on a cruise on the day we fly back so it'll be a fair while before we see them again!
