Three give blood.

It was great to have a lazy start to the day and I sorted out a load of washing and did a few other chores. Mike wanted to go to Tesco this morning to get a new phone as his two year contract is up and his mobile is useless!

We all drove over and while Keith did a bit of shopping we sorted Mike out with a new iPhone 7 with lots of data. Hopefully, we'll now be able to get hold of him a lot more easily! It's now in his name and the monthly payments are down to him!

Back home we had some lunch and Sophie and I popped over to the post office in Brixworth to take some unwanted orders back. We indulged in an ice-cream and then it was home to do some ironing and clean downstairs. As we've had all the windows open, we've had lots of tiny little brown leaves come in and the conservatory needed a good hoover!

Once finished, I sat on the sofa with Keith and watched the Tour de France which was taking place in the Pyrenees. It was cloudy and misty there, but it's been another warm and sunny day here. The newspapers are now full of heatwave stories and the terrible wildfires in Greece that have killed about 80 people.

At 6pm Sophie, Mike and I trooped off to give blood. It was a busy session but by 7.30pm we were all done and driving home. Dinner tonight was soup and crusty bread - a bit too hot to eat, in my opinion, but after the expenses of the last few days we're trying to cut down a bit!
