Another day, another film!

After a lazyish start we popped to my Mum and Dad's for coffee and admired the decorating they'd done in their cloakroom. The weather today has been really disappointing - instead of the blue skies and sunshine I'd been expecting, we had drizzle and grey skies and as the morning wore it, it became more misty.

Sophie and I went to the cinema in the afternoon to see The Mountain Between Us, starring Idris Elba and Kate Winslet. We'd booked to see the film at the Errol Flynn and before the film started we had a very leisurely drink in John Franklin's bar. Weirdly enough, the couple that sat opposite us in the bar were next to us in the cinema!

The film was great and we both enjoyed it - we thought the dog was the star, though! Afterwards we drove to Brixworth to pick up Mike and it brought it home to me how dark the evenings are now. It's almost fully night by 7pm, and of course, in a couple of weeks, the clocks go back. Summer really will be over then!
