Thwarted plans!

Keith and Ian were back at Mum and Dad's house today to finish the electrics in the garage and to put up some lights in the kitchen. Keith said their garage was full of furniture, a lot of which they'd forgotten they had as it had been in storage! The aim was for them to downsize so they will have to decide what to do with the stuff they no longer need in the next few weeks.

Sophie and I went to Market Harborough at lunchtime and she bought some new clothes in New Look for her trip to Rome which is coming up alarmingly fast! It's two weeks on Thursday!

We had lunch in Costa and I bought a new handbag in Monsoon as Sophie had a £10 voucher and they were also doing a 20% discount when you spent over £30. As the bag was £32 I finished up paying just £15 so I was very chuffed!

The weather today hasn't been as nice as previous days and it's definitely been on the chilly side. We had a short mooch in some other shops and then went home at 3pm as Sophie was supposed to be going out this evening for Tapas with two of her friends. Unfortunately, after a protracted conversation about who was going to drive and how they were going to get to the restaurant one of her friends cried off so they had to cancel going out. Sophie was understandably furious as it was such short notice!

To make up for her disappointment we went to the pub for a drink before we drove to Moulton to get Mike who was with Heather. He'd walked to her house from school so at least we didn't have to go and get him at 4.15pm again!

We had a lovely drink, sitting in the window and watching the comings and goings in the village and then left to pick him up at almost 7pm. We dropped Keith off at home so he could get on with cooking dinner and drove to Moulton before finally heading home for a glass of wine and a relaxed evening!
