Wet Sunday

Today it was back to normal and taking Sophie into work for 11am. She wasn't in a very good mood with me this morning so our parting was a little fraught!

I went home to find Keith cleaning the family bathroom and then we tackled the en-suite together. We've been using some lovely black towels that are very fluffy, but the problem is they've been leaving this fluff everywhere, so all the surfaces in our shower room, which are white, were covered in black bits. Wiping them away with a damp cloth just transferred them from one place to another!

However, we managed to get everything clean and it all looked so much better when we finished. I carried on cleaning upstairs and then the downstairs rooms and by 2pm we were both finished. All plans to then go out into the garden were abandoned as it started to rain and the wind got up, making it a very miserable afternoon indeed! However, it was lovely to curl up on the sofa, crank the heating up and do very little!

I had to venture out into the yukky weather at 5.30pm, though, and go and pick Sophie up from work. She wasn't in a much better mood, I'm afraid, but a glass of wine later did the trick and we were friends again before bed!
