After a lazy morning pottering around the garden, Mum, Soph and I went in search of bedheads. We first went to British Home Stores where we spotted a lovely maroon damask bedhead that was perfect. The only problem was that it had been ordered for someone else, but we could do the same. We decided to have a look at some other stores first, went and had a lovely cup of tea and then strolled along to Home Sense which I'd never been into before.

It was fab! Very quirky, individual items for the home, and it was a bit like a bric-a-brac shop/house clearance store! Sophie swooned when she saw all the pictures, mirrors and ornaments! We browsed for ages as there was so much to see but in the end we bought a large mirror and a picture of Audrey Hepburn (looking into the window of Tiffany's) a suitcase covered with pictures of Marilyn Monroe and a small Audrey Hepburn jewellery box. The items were really good value and Sophie was over the moon with her choices.

Still on the hunt for a bedhead, we went off to Dreams but we saw nothing to compare with the one in BHS so we went back and ordered it - a treat for Sophie from my mum. It should break up the wallpaper and quilt cover beautifully. The only snag was the 4-5 week wait, but that will go very quickly!

After a relaxing drink at Mum's we returned home and Keith put the new stuff on the wall - it looks great and Sophie was thrilled with her room. It's about time I did something with our room now!
