A Good Friday

Sophie went to the gym this morning to take part in a yoga class while I pootled about doing jobs. In my family, it was a tradition to never do laundry on Good Friday (or eat meat) so I had to try and ignore the pile of washing that needed doing!

Sophie returned from the gym and had popped to Aldi, so she made lunch with some delicious sourdough bread and cheese. The weather outside was beautiful but I stayed indoors and hoovered the house before cleaning the bedroom windows. It's so lovely to have them open now the temperatures are a bit higher. It's still chilly in the mornings and evenings, but Spring is definitely here now!

We took Sophie to Vikesh's house in the afternoon, and they were both going over to his brother's house to have a games night with pizza. Vikesh lives in Wellingborough so it only took us about twenty minutes to drive over there. A bit of a change from Sophie's ex who lived in Essex!

Keith's mate John was out of hospital after a hip replacement operation and said he would go to the pub tonight, so I had an hour and a half to myself! I watched Doc Martin and sipped a glass of wine - my own wine night! We had fish and chips for dinner - bought from Tesco and not the van in the village, as we had spent quite a considerable amount of money on a meal out on Wednesday and we're off to Southampton tomorrow to take Mike and Abbie out for lunch! It wasn't the same, though!

Sophie arrived home at about 11pm and she'd had a great night. She was laden with Indian snacks so they will come in handy when we play Scrabble over the weekend!
