New horizons!

The frantic pace at work seems to be winding down now, which is a relief for everyone! After a busy thirty minutes the calls quietened down, and we were all able to get on and do other jobs.

At 4pm I sped home to find one of Mike's chest of drawers on the driveway, and half of it sprayed black. He is starting to get all of his stuff together now to take down to Southampton, where he and Abbie have finally found a house to rent. It's costing £875 a month, so he will need to get a job very soon! He will be taking his own bed with him, and a van has been arranged to deliver their bits and bobs. His leaving date is next Wednesday, and I do hope it all works out for them!

Sophie and I played Scrabble again this evening and Keith cooked a cheat's Toad-in-the-Hole. He used shop-bought Yorkshire puddings rather than make his own... I think he is still wary of the oven!
