Mad weather!

It's been another unsettled day and at work this morning the weather went a bit mad, with torrential rain and very strong winds! The word tempest came to mind as we watched it out of the office window! When I went to Reception, the noise of the rain on the roof was unbelievable!

Work was great today and quiet in the office, which was lovely. Mid-morning, Sue invited Sara, Stella, herself and me to a sweet-sucking contest. Sara had some Werthers Originals so we all had to keep one in our mouths without crunching it! Mine collapsed so I was out first, but feisty Stella kept hers intact and won!

I sped home at 3pm and watched Cheltenham with Keith. He'd had a couple of winners but was back to where he started on Tuesday. At least he hadn't had any major losses!

Our evening was quiet as Mike went out and it was just the two of us sitting down to dinner. The house feels so empty when both children are out! After dinner we relaxed for an hour before leaving to go down to the station to pick up the girls who'd had a fantastic time in London, eating lots of lovely food and drinking some weird and wonderful cocktails!

We arrived about ten minutes before their train was due in and after dropping Alice back at her flat it was time to head home and talk about all that Sophie got up to!
