Back to the tip!

Keith took me into work this morning and my shift was quite pleasant, despite the rise in the level of noise when a couple of the managers thought it was great to carry on loud conversations nearby, making it very difficult for Sue who was talking to a customer!

I left at 3pm and after getting home and changing, Keith and I went to the tip with our garden waste bin and two black bags full of dead leaves. We taped the bin shut and hoisted it into the back of my car and somehow managed to empty it into one of the huge skips at the recycling centre. I was pleased we hadn't had to empty it before now as we haven't had a garden waste collection at home since June. A lot of our garden rubbish has been put on the compost heap so that's been good!

We then returned home and picked up the two conifers that we'd removed from the garden and went back again. This time it was a lot busier with quite a few people doing the same as us! It felt very good to get rid of it all and if we have to only make two trips a year to the tip with our garden waste, that's brilliant!

Back home we relaxed a bit and Keith cooked burgers and new potatoes for dinner. Mike was out with Georgia and they both returned at about 9pm. We had a great chat and then it was an early night. Work again tomorrow!
