Bunking off!

Keith and I had another day of driving both children about today. Mike went off to his army cadet first aid training at 8am and then we took Sophie into work at 11am. As we were driving in, Soph's phone went and it was Mike asking to be collected as he was finished early. We dropped Sophie off and then went to pick up Mike before popping around to Mum's for a coffee.

She was delighted to see him in his army uniform as it's been a long while since she's seen him in the full outfit. We had a cup of coffee with her and then we dropped Mike off at his girlfriend's house before heading to the Princess Alexandra pub in town.

We'd come up with lots of suggestions about where to go but we were very glad we picked the Princess Alexandra as the place was almost empty, there was no loud music and no TV showing sports! Perfect!

We sat and had an extremely relaxing hour and a half over a couple of drinks and talked about our trip to Berlin and the places we wanted to visit. Over the course of the time we spent in there, only another handful of people came in, probably because they don't do Sunday lunch or show football.

Back home it was an afternoon spent relaxing before venturing back out to pick up the kids!
