Friday 22 April - Goodbye Florida

Well, the cases are all packed and we just have a few minutes left before we lock up the house and start the journey home. I don't think any of us want to go home - we could easily stay another week - but all good things must come to an end.

Friday morning was spent packing and tidying things up before we enjoyed the pool and the sun loungers for one last time. At 5pm we headed off to one of the shopping malls but it was so busy and so hot we wandered around for a little while and then decided to have an early dinner at Houlihan's restaurant.

Keith took an immediate dislike to the restaurant for some reason. He said it was the brown walls, but I like Houlihan's and I especially liked the huge French advertising posters on the walls. We had, what I thought anyway, a lovely meal - Keith had salmon (he said it was overcooked), I had pot roast which was delicious and the children ended their holiday with the great American burger.

Back at the villa we had a de-briefing on the terrace with a glass of wine and then it was early to bed!
