Well, yesterday was frustrating. Our lease has still not been signed and now the Landlord wants us to pay his surveyor to check that whatever works we do are correct and acceptable. Understandably, we told them to go take a running jump as their surveyor could constantly say things weren't right and to have them done again. And why should we pay their costs? This is dragging on interminably and is getting us all down. There is such a lot of things to be done here and we're just stuck in limbo without any progress at all.
We did manage to get some outdoor furniture for the garden, though! Mum and I went to Wilkinson's and bought eight chairs and two tables and had some fun trying to find their loading bay. I'm sure we provided some entertainment for security as we wandered up and down the service road trying to identify which door was Wilkinson's!!
After such a disagreeable day, we went to the Royal Oak for dinner and it was packed! We had a delicious meal - cod for hubby and I, Thai green curry for Sophie and steak and ale pie for Mikey. It made a nice end to a very frustrating day!
